RE: Monaco reports earnings

Cash flows are actually much more important than accounting income in these economic times. 2007 third quarter had 35 million in cash, 2008 third quarter showed this declining to 3 million. That's a 90%reduction in cash over the last year! That isn't much cash for a company of this size so that credit agreement is that much more important.

RE: "Newest" "Active" "Popular" - - - - - ATC not included???

RV.NET is a forum about RVing. Therefore those are the forums that are included in the Newest, Active and Popular areas.
ATC is for non-RVing discussions only and is therefore not applicable for this feature.
Sandi
Using the same logic, Since "RV.NET is a forum about RVing" why is there an ATC forum allowed? Since it IS allowed, it should be part of any feature that other forums on RV.NET are IMHO.

RE: Your Team's Most Important Game Yet To Play?

Our Tigers aren't doing very well on Big Games this year. Beat Auburn but got blown out by the Gators and lost to Georgia. Next Biggie is Bama but then there's Ole Miss and the Razorbacks. They're all big games.
Dave
Yeah, in the SEC, there is no such thing as ONE big game. All games played in conference are big, some HUGE, and then you have to play the Championship game should you survive the regular season. The Gators still have to play Georgia (one of those huge ones), South Carolina (one of the big ones), and then probably Alabama in the championship game should we make it through the first two. Of course, the state rivalry game with Florida St. has to be played in there too! I love football in the South!!!:B

RE: Satellite TV--Dish vs. Direct

what "tier" of service do you want to pay for? when I decided, I wanted one channel that was included with Dish basic and not Direct so I chose Dish. I have been very happy. Just ignore 99.9% of the nonsense that usually is posted on this issue. and what type of programming do you want? HD or regular, etc. when I travel I use an old cheap one LNB Dish to get 119 that has most of the stuff I want to watch. Someone has previously posted that in most of the 48 states, or at least the southern part you can just set skew and forget it.

What channel was that Bumpy?

RE: Kwikee Step Problem ?

I had the same problem and also thought it must be the limit switch or controller. I called Kwikee and they said it was probably the motor. They sent me a new motor, I replaced it and problem solved. Give them a call. They have excellent support.

RE: ads on this forum

while there are some that are not allowed, such as Political adsNo where around here does it say Political ads are not allowed. It says "Political and religious posts, pictures, links, signatures etc. are not allowed in these forums". The advertising you see is not part of the forum. The term "forum" here is the discussion that we are having concerning RVing.
The advertising you see falls under the "Terms and Conditions" in the "THIRD PARTY PRODUCTS, ADVICE AND SERVICES" section: "We are not responsible for examining or evaluating any products, advice or services offered by any third parties whose icons, products, advice, services or hyperlinks appear on the Site. We make no representations, warranties or conditions regarding the offerings of any third party. Further, we do not assume any responsibility or liability for the products, advice, services and actions of any third parties".
The moderators have no control over the advertising on the forum, And by the way, I note that there are a lot of political comments and opinions allowed. Very lenient bunch of good guys. They do a yeoman's job.
No, the moderators have no control over them but the agreement Affinity has with Google does. You may remember some political ads that were dispayed a couple of weeks back, until it was stopped by the powers that be.

RE: ads on this forum

The ads come from Google and while there are some that are not allowed, such as Political ads, I don't believe any are checked for truth in advertising. As always, Buyer Beware!!

RE: Where to Stay Overnight

Also, at exit 23 there is a Flying J.
I believe that Flying J is at exit 29 instead of exit 23. According to this morning's Jacksonville paper, gas is 2.67 at that Flying J!!

RE: Arrowhead in NC

Please go to RV Park Reviews or CampGround Report (or both) and leave a review there. Most of us check those sites for campground reviews and you may wish to do the same if you haven't already.

RE: What's with Directv?

The secret to dealing with DirecTV is to NEVER call them and talk to a human. Do everything over the internet. I have had them for over ten years and the only time I have talked to a human was to get a receiver replaced that was hit by lightning. When I got the MH and wanted DNS, I downloaded the waiver form, filled it out and sent it in. I also went online and changed the location of my receivers to RV LR and RV BR so that it appeared everything had been moved to the MH, in case anyone checked. I still have both receivers in the stick house and take one of them with me when in the MH, Two weeks later I had the NY and LA channels.
Since I never talked to anyone, I also still have local channels activated. The DNS people and the normal customer support people are in two completely different sections of the company and don't talk to each other. One of these days they may catch it but they are so messed up I seriously doubt it.:B

RE: Defribrillators,, has anyone bought one???

I have done a little research but feel they are still a little too proud of them - all I saw were about $1,200+. The HeartStart ones seem to be the most popular. There is one available at Walgreens for $1,279.99. Hopefully the ticker will hold out until their prices drop like calculators did 30 years ago! It's getting so I can buy a lot of gasoline for that much money and camping keeps my heart ticking too. :B

RE: Branson's Ozark Country

We spent a week there last May and thorughly enjoyed it. It has the best washer/dryer room I have seen in any campground. It also has a library and frequently holds BBQs or some other event. It is about 10 minutes from the strip. It is also a Passport America park and, unless they have changed, there are no restrictions of consequence. They do require cash for PA stays. If you make reservations, they will take into account whether you need southern exposure for satellite or not and reserve your site accordingly. The sites are not large but adequate. I haven't stayed at ABC so can't compare to theirs.
